Dr. Andrew

(Hons) BSc, MD

My journey on the salutogenic path to better health management started five years ago when issues in my personal health lead me away from the traditional allopathic method to treating disease which I had been practicing for over 25 years and which I had been trained for as a Family Medicine doctor.

Initially, changing to a more lifestyle orientated approach lead to better health both for myself and my patients. However, I soon realised that everyone is unique and dealing with chronic complicated problems required a more individualized/personalized focus. It also required a ‘Sherlock Holmes’ style in investigating and determining the causes of illness, an approach that the Functional Medicine model serves and has been fundamental in revitalizing my approach to medicine.
