Common causes of shoulder pain

Bursitis is defined as a condition that affects the fluid-filled sacs that act as a cushion between tendons, muscles, and skin. Once these sacs become inflamed, they can cause pain and can actually cause our range of motion to be affected.
- Sprains and strains
We’re all familiar with spraining or straining some part of our body. A sprain is tearing or damaging ligaments or joints, while strains are strictly related to muscles. It can be very easy to sprain or strain your shoulder by simply moving it the wrong way, especially during exercise.
How can shoulder pain be dealt with?
While more serious conditions often require the assistance of a surgeon or certain injections into the affected area, shoulder pain can also be alleviated by visiting an experienced massage therapist.
